Landon does a phenomenal job every time. He listens to exactly what you want. Even if you have a picture, heβs going to clarify what you like about it and execute it perfectly. Heβs professional but also genuine and real so you feel taken care of but completely comfortable. The shop itself is somewhere youβd want to hang out. They have an awesome area with games, including a pool table and slot machines. The bar has a wide variety as well. Itβs always clean inside the shop and bathrooms. Everyone inside is amazing, including ownership. I cannot say enough good things about this place and especially Landon!

The best Barbershop!! So many talented men working there that have skills in so many areas! Iβve been a stylist for 20 years and I am blown away watching the way they work and how much goes into each haircut! Always a good vibe and the shop is so nice!!! Always up to date and keeping things fresh! Great talent in this barbershop and highly recommend booking your appointment here!!
I can't even give this one star. This is the worst haircut I've ever gotten in my entire life. I went to Eduardo Arellano for a very simple modern mullet. I had more than enough hair, and asked my bangs to be at my eyebrows. I don't understand how he messed such a simple haircut up when I had more than enough hair for it. My bangs are so uneven, and are at the middle of my forehead- not my eyebrows. My hair looks nothing like the pictures I showed him. When he gave me the mirror, he had his head down and didn't even look at me. I look like lesbian chicken little! I'll have to wear hoodies for weeks, my hair is ruined. Other than that, the place was nice and it smelled good but jesus what is on my head right now??
I would give it a one star, but it has been a decent place in the past. My past two visits have been completely unorganized. Today 2/1/25, I set an appointment for my little brother with Jae Richmond at 11:25 am for 1:30 pm. When we arrived there, Jae was gone and all of the other staff said they could not cut my brothers hair. It just shows that they donβt value the customer. Iβve been told to use their website to book appointments, so thatβs what I did. However, I will not go back to uptown. I would rather just go to blast where they value the customer.
Used to be a pretty good shop when I lived here. Just walked in and was the only person in the waiting room and I sat there for 45 minutes watching the staff chill on their phones in their chairs waiting for appointments to walk in before I left.
Let's start by saying that this shop overall is a fantastic Barbershop. It is locally owned and most of the guys have had their chairs for many years. I have been going there for about 5 years and have been pleased for the most part. I will follow that with saying DO NOT USE TRAVIS COTTON.Not because he's not a good barber shop or does not do a great job on a beard trim when he feels like it or is available. I have used him in the past and had to stop because he canceled on me more than three times without notice. Today I had an appointment at 9:30 prior to a wedding this afternoon. I scheduled this appointment one week in advance. I was there 15 minutes early and was told that he was not coming in today. This is the fourth time he has either canceled or no showed on an appointment I have set. Honestly I can't take blame in the fact that I should have learned my lesson but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt .I will be back to Uptown Barbershop but I will not be using Travis Cotton.

Jones cut my sonβs hair today and did great!! My son wasnβt the easiest today and Jones was so great. We will definitely be back!
A bit pricey, but the best haircut I've gotten in a long time. I guess you get what you pay for.
Second haircut with Landon and I canβt say enough good things. Usually it takes 3 or 4 cuts with a new barber for me to like the way they cut my hair. Iβve got a touch of OCD. Landon nailed it both times.
Anthony McDonald is a great communicator!! He cares about what you want/are looking for. I have never walked out with a displeased haircut!!
Been going here for 9 years and I've always had a great experience. Very professional and respectful. I'm from NY and wanted a cut like I would get back home. This was the place that made it happen. Jeff and this staff are the best
Bar and a barbershop.. what more could you ask for? Jones did my cut (I'm a white boy, 0.5 in.; faded, beard trimmed down to a goatee) he did a great job

I guess Iβll give it one start because google makes us. Just moved here was hoping to get a good cut. Awful cut to say the least. Barber was one hour late even though I scheduled an appointment prior. He rushed my cut to get to the next person. Did a horrible line up and pulled my hairline way back. If you value looking sharp I highly recommend you travel elsewhere. Now Iβm gonna buy a hat and wait on my hair to grow back ASAP. Never returning to this establishment. Itβs a shame because I live very close to it.
Iβve been going here for about 3 years now and itβs been great watching this business grow! They do an excellent job. I would strongly recommend to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, if you donβt you might be there a few hours. Also if itβs your first time BRING CASH because some of the barbers I believe only take cash. Also donβt forget to tip! I always stick with the same barber here (James) but Iβve never seen anyone walking out of the shop looking worse than they did when they came in, so any of them is a good choice!
My son came in as a walk-in for a military fade. Chad got him taken care of exactly as asked and was great to work with. It's definitely a place to go for any type of cut you may need.
Updated Review- The owner reached out and asked to rectify the situation with the first haircut my son got here. Today 5/30 he did just that. Jeff did an amazing job. My son loves his new haircut.
My son and I go here to see Jimmy and he does a great job! I just bring him a photo of a cut I like and he goes to work! He is very thorough and does a great job on beard shaping. Also the bar and pool table serve as a fun hang out area if you arrive early to your appointment. They have online booking as well. I absolutely recommend jimmy and Uptown for your next cut!!
UPDATED REVIEW. Any Business owner who reaches out to fix an upset customer deserves 5 stars. Ownership and customer service here is spot on And that is greatly appreciated.
Safe to say that Uptown Barber Studio is the place to go. I'm a student at Elon and needed somebody down here for haircuts. Chad Brown will get you right.

At 85 years old my hair cut I must say is by far the best cut I've ever had. Bob cat did an amazing job he took his time cut my hair just the way I ask him to.
